About Capsinol starts with a simple observation: most nasal sprays are designed to be used for a few days, and almost no one uses them that way.
Why we built Capsinol, a natural nasal spray
The conventional decongestant sprays you find in any pharmacy, the ones with xylometazoline or oxymetazoline as the active ingredient, work by constricting the blood vessels in your nasal lining. They open your nose within seconds, cost very little, and need no prescription. However, the small print on the box tells you, somewhere, that you should not use them for more than 5 to 7 days.
Most people do not read that line, or they read it and assume it does not really apply to them. As a result, day by day, they drift into a cycle they did not sign up for: a nose that blocks worse without the spray than it ever did before, a bottle they have to keep with them at all times, and a growing sense of being trapped by the very thing that was supposed to fix them.
We started Capsinol because we had watched too many people fall into this trap, some of them in our own families. There had to be a better way.
A different approach
Researchers have studied capsaicin, the active compound in chilli peppers, for decades as an option for chronic nasal inflammation. Unlike conventional decongestants, capsaicin does not constrict blood vessels, does not suppress the immune system, and does not act on the vascular system at all.
Instead, it gradually desensitises the over-reactive nerves in the nasal lining, the same nerves that drive chronic swelling, mucus production, and the constant feeling of being blocked. Repeated, gentle exposure calms them down, so your nose stops over-reacting.
Because there is no vasoconstriction, there is no rebound. Because there is no immune suppression, there is no long-term risk. Therefore, you can use it daily, for as long as you need, without your nose becoming dependent on it.
That is the science. The harder part was building a product around it that worked, felt tolerable to use every day, and was made from ingredients we could be proud of.
What we believe
Long-term use should not be a trap. Anything you put in your body daily should be designed for daily use, not for 5 days followed by hoping you can stop.
Natural is not a marketing word. Capsinol contains capsaicin from Capsicum annuum , xylitol, eucalyptus globulus tincture, sodium chloride, and water. That is the entire ingredient list: no preservatives, no vasoconstrictive agents, no xylometazoline. We can pronounce every word on the label.
Honesty matters more than urgency. Capsinol is not a miracle. It does not open your nose in 30 seconds the way a decongestant does. The first few uses produce a warming, tingling sensation that surprises some people, and it does not work equally well for everyone. We tell you all of this on the box, on the product pages, and in our customer service emails, because we would rather you buy with realistic expectations than buy on hype and feel let down.
Your GP comes first. If you have been using a decongestant spray daily for months or years, talk to your doctor before you stop. We are not a substitute for medical advice; instead, we are an option that exists alongside it.
