My problems go back to when I was about sixteen or seventeen. I always seemed to have a stuffy nose, was quick to feel congested, and had frequent nosebleeds. I was also prone to ear and throat discomfort. After fourteen years of searching, I finally found lasting nasal comfort with Capsinol. Here is my story.
Years of trying everything
Years after my problems started, persistent headaches were added to the mix. My GP referred me to an ENT specialist. The headaches were almost constant: bending over caused a thumping feeling, and cycling over bumps or climbing stairs brought pressure to my forehead. I was prescribed various nasal sprays over the years, Beclometasone, Rhinocort, Nasonex, Syntaris, but none of them gave lasting comfort.
Over the years I had several procedures. My nasal septum was straightened, passages were widened, and growths were removed. Some of these results lasted a few years, but the discomfort always returned. Eventually, a more extensive procedure was proposed. It had a significant impact on me, and unfortunately only provided temporary improvement. After about a year and a half, the symptoms started coming back.
Finding nasal comfort at last
In the end, I found some comfort with a prescription spray, but I also became dependent on a children’s nasal spray because I simply couldn’t sleep with a blocked nose. After fourteen years of trying everything, I had given up hope.
Then I discovered Capsinol. I searched online but it was still relatively new at the time. My ENT doctor didn’t know much about it either, but said: “If it doesn’t help, it won’t hurt.” So I bought three bottles: the children’s version, the Original, and the Mild.
I started with the children’s version, being cautious after everything my nose had been through. The pepper gave a slight tingle but nothing unpleasant. After the first bottle, I moved on to the Mild, and eventually to the Original. The Original was noticeably stronger at first, watery eyes and an intense sensation, but I got used to it.
The result
I use Capsinol several times a day. Because my nose is very sensitive, it needs regular attention, and Capsinol provides good support. It doesn’t solve everything for me, and I don’t expect it to, too much has happened over the years, and my body is simply very reactive. In winter months I sometimes still need my prescription spray, and during a real cold I occasionally reach for the old standby. But I use it far less than before, and I consider that real progress.
On a daily basis, Capsinol gives me genuine nasal comfort. The Original formula is the only one I use now, because it works best for my situation.
Individual results may vary. Capsinol is not a medicine and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
