If you have a cold more often than usual or even have a chronic cold, Capsinol is an excellent natural remedy to combat that (chronic) cold. But do you suffer from a mild or a common cold? Then we have a good and natural recipe for a natural tea here for you that will reduce your cold symptoms in no time.

What is the recipe?
It is a homemade tea with natural and readily available products that ensure that the symptoms of a cold will quickly diminish.
What do you need for this recipe?
– 1 teaspoon hot cloves
– 600 ml tap water
– 1 broken stick of cinnamon
– 1 large level teaspoon ginger powder (ginger in fine pieces is also good!)
– Half a teaspoon of chili powder

How do you make the tea?
Boil a generous amount of water in a pan. Add the cloves, cinnamon stick and half teaspoon of chili powder and bring to a boil. Once it’s boiling, you can turn the gas down a bit. Place the stock on the pan and let it simmer for five minutes. Then turn off the heat and add the ginger powder. Let it stand for 30 minutes with the lid on the pan without boiling.

What are the next steps?
After it has stood for 30 minutes, drain everything so that only the warm liquid remains. The remnants of herbs can then also be thrown away. Then pour the strained juice into a bowl or mug and add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and optionally some honey to taste.

How often can you drink the tea?
We recommend that you drink this tea a maximum of 2 to 3 times a day. Do not exceed this. The liquid with cloves, cinnamon, chili powder and ginger can always be warmed up and drunk again. However, wait a while before adding the lemon juice and/or honey. You only add this when the tea is already in the mug. The reason for this is that the vitamins of the lemon and the quality of the honey are lost if you reheat it and of course we don’t want that.

How should you drink the tea?
Stir the tea well. Drink slowly and in small sips so that the vitamins and minerals have time to reach the body. Do you think the taste is too sour? Add extra honey if needed to make the taste better!
